Well, I for one think that it does not look ugly. I really don’t understand. Just because it’s not your typical jet black digital piano does not mean that it’s ugly. I personally think that this new style is a breath of fresh air. In fact, companies should try to expand a bit more.

When it comes to digital pianos, I see either a wooden digital piano with cabines (aka a wannabe acoustic piano) or a jet black digital piano (usually a stage piano). What makes these the standard? I understand that black is probably the most in-demand color, but I’m fairly certain that other people would also like brown, white, or even blue.

The Korg SP-250 is a nice break from the typical. It’s different. It’s nice.

I know that everyone likes to see the big names wherever they are around the world but I honestly could not believe how many Atlanta concerts there are every single month. Practically every day there is some really big name in music playing in Atlanta and they are not just home grown local stars that we all love but these are big world wide bands and acts. I can’t wait to see a couple of my favourites in the next couple of months, Bryan Ferry next month and then Adele after that. I’m really hoping that I manage to get tickets as I’m sure they will both be great events. If I can I also want to get to see Ladyantibellum too. Can you believe that these great artists are here and playing right on the doorstep in great venues that not only hold enough for a great atmosphere but also let you feel up close to your heroes too.

The Nashville TV Series Debacle

Nashville was an American docu-soap that was targeted based around aspiring country artists and country songs. It was a 6 part series that was unfortunately cancelled after only two episodes had the opportunity to screen. It was in part directed by country superstar Brad Paisley, but even with major names backing the series, it failed to pick up speed.

The program covered the lives of young aspiring musicians trying to make it big in the country capital of the US, Nashville, Tennessee. All six episodes had been filmed but judging by the poor ratings on IMDb and TV it’s safe to say the public never really took a shining to what could have been a glorious country music reality tv show.

The producers are still trying to sell the series and a it has been rumoured to of been successfully sold but the program has yet to surface on another network.

I’m such a fan of up and coming musicians who are constantly innovating within their craft and bringing new conventions into modern pop and rock music that I like to see as many shows as I possibly can. I usually only hear about shows through word of mouth or perhaps through flyers at the local stores, but now I’m taking to the internet and finding a lot more nottingham gigs that bands are playing. I like to play myself, and I feel that when I see these new artists, I not only get to take in their music, but I also sort of get to study up on how to play a live gig, because someday I’d like to be up there in the ranks of the new and promising musicians of the era.
