Located in Canary Wharf, the Camino is the one place I love to go and unwind at the end of the day especially on Fridays. I especially love the quirky beer coasters they have there depicting Facebook statuses and other ironic messages. It is one of the livelier and informal bars you will ever find and its location by the Thames gives it a unique atmosphere. Inside hat I found really interesting and appealing is the Iberian styled décor. There are a number of wooden boxes, earthenware, and tin products displayed in wire cages set against the backdrop of painted tiles, red coloured walls and floors, and bricks. So this is more of a rustic kind of place to be in. The atmosphere here is festive at times especially on a Friday when the DJ cranks of the music and the drinks are flowing and many people are having fun on the sizeable patio. There are days when a live band plays and it is usually jam packed. A wide variety of drinks is offered and although I have not tried them all, I have been impressed. Their wine selection is extensive and if you want you can order one of their rare bottles. There is a kitchen which follows an open plan style and you can get Spanish dishes at reasonable prices. The food is incredibly tasty. The service is pretty good and alround and I have never had a complaint. After a hard day’s work this is the one place you can go and unwind, enjoy a good meal, have a drink, and chat with your friends wishing you did not have to leave.
