The Best GPS for Sale : Garmin Nvi 1450LMT Review

Friday, December 30th, 2011

In our gps reviews 2011 we voted Garmin nuvi 1450 as one of the best. We selected it because we have owned GPs systems for a long time. One of the most important features that they lack is the exit lane guide.

As you drive along on your road trip you will come to certain points where you need to exit. However some points require an exit quickly followed by a turn. Almost all GPS systems will inform you of the right exit. However many of them will not inform you of the right lane to follow in time . After you exit, the gps will tell you to turn left only to find you’re on the farthest right lane and can’t do so safely. This forces you to drive around and come back wasting precious time and creating aggravation.

This is not the case with the Garmin nuvi 1450. It will guide you through busy highways interchanges and warn you in advance that you need to exit left and immediately stay to your right or left. This is critical information. That any driver needs and many Gps systems do not provide.

It is one of the main reasons we voted the 1450 as one of the best GPS in 2011.

Shooting a Television Commercial at a Cretan Villa

Wednesday, December 7th, 2011

We received a phone call two months ago from a travel agent who is promoting our cretan villa. He wanted to know whether we would be interested in allowing the shooting of a commercial at our property.

We thought about it for a while and it didn’t sound bad. We would not mind as long as there are no damages made with all the staff moving around the villa with cameras and lights and endless miles of wiring on the floors. And it could turn to be positive for our bookings if the word spreads.

So we decided to accept the crew but with two conditions. First they will have to book the house as everyone else and they would have to pay a high breakage deposit. Second they will pay rights for shooting the commercial on our premises. All the money upfront; in case of cancellation we will refund 50% of the total rental cost.

A Beautiful Kenya Safari

Sunday, October 2nd, 2011

My friends and I have been hiking, camping and adventuring all over the world. We’ve rafted down the Amazon river, been hiking through Tasmania and even walked the Great Wall of China. We’ve climbed mountains and explored caves. We love adventurous vacations, so when one of our friends recommended a safari in Kenya, we were all for it. We booked a ten-day safari in Masai country. We enjoyed every moment of it, from the sweeping vistas to the majestic wildlife. We saw lions, elephants and more as we traveled through numerous Kenyan national parks. Our guide was friendly, helpful and made sure of our safety when we were photographing or observing wild animals. The grasslands of Kenya are spectacular and the big sky is amazing. We took incredible photographs sure to make our friends envious of our trip. Our Kenya safari was one of our most memorable trips and we would all like to do it again.

I’ve Always Wanted to Rent an Amsterdam Accommodation

Monday, September 12th, 2011

I hated to admit it to my friends at the office but I had never been on vacation. For the entire 34 years of my life I have never been on a vacation. I’ve always wanted to rent an Amsterdam accommodation but never got to it. They still are having a hard time believing it but nonetheless they convinced me to stay with them in their vacation rental when they leave next month. I was not really sure whether I even wanted to go or not. I mean we were friends in the office, but would we really be good enough friends outside of the office to actually vacation together? I was something that truly bothered me from the beginning because I did not want to go and make them feel uncomfortable and I certainly did not want to feel uncomfortable either. I told them I would think about it and let them know in the next day or two. I figured I was a pretty good answer. Now I just need to find out what my decision is going to be. I can remember sitting in my bedroom of my parents old house daydreaming of the time we stayed in a vacation rental. I think that is why I always dream of accommodation Amsterdam. The entire family all stayed there together. I loved it and I knew immediately that it would be a vacation that I would never forget. And here I am now a grown woman and I still have not forgotten it. So there must be some kind of truth behind it. I remember it was the last vacation that we had my father with us. He made such a presence when he was in the world that when he was gone we all felt it. Not only did we see it physically, but we felt it physically as well. No amount of training more wishing will bring my father back so the only time I do good to see him is through my little daydreams that I have from time to time. And for me, right now, that is all I need to suffice.

Sao Paulo: Only the Best for You

Tuesday, August 30th, 2011

If you are looking for best apartments, great night-out, and good friends, why not visit Sao Paulo, a city which enthralls its visitors. One can enjoy the sight of many structures and its great infrastructure, such as clubs and architecture beckons at people from various walks of life. I spent a lot of time at an awesome apartment in Sao Paulo, that was situated in the vicinity of Bixiga. Bixiga, along with Santana, Vila Guilherme, are probably the best neighborhood in all of Sampa, as Sao Paulo is affectionately referred to.

The apartment I rented was a great place, large room, well-furnished, with a very comfortable bed, and a wide window overlooking a serene beach area. You could hear the sweet sound of Brazilian music from one of the bars nearby. I met my best friend, Sam in that residence and one cool evening, Sam and I had the opportunity to meet hundreds of the local people. There were men and women on the street into the late hours of the night. We saw models dressed fancifully with various attractive colors. We saw colors that were brilliant even in the darkness of the night.

I met some girls on the first night I strolled through the city. I think that these girls must be the most gorgeous of all ladies worldwide. However, that night, Sam and I had the opportunity make new female friends. Yondel and Prisca made our stay in Sao Paulo worthwhile. They were models born and bred in Sao Paulo. It was fun being with those girls. They showed us a great time in the city. Every night we moved around town to eat and drink the delicacies prepared in esteemed restaurants. At least, I remember eating at about seven restaurants. I have lost count of all the clubs we went to.

Soon it was time for me to leave. I can still remember vividly that sad morning when I bade Sam, Yondel and Prisca goodbye near my beloved rented apartment. The taxi moved away slowly as thoughts of coming back filled my heart.

Getting into Luxury Travel

Friday, August 19th, 2011

My husband and I have decided to do some luxury travel. We have decided to take one vacation a year. We want to go to each of the seven continents in the world. This year, we are going to Paris, France. I am really excited about going! I have dreamed of going to Paris ever since I was eight years old. I love everything about the city even though I have never been there. Next year, we will be going to Jamaica to a resort there. That’s the plan right now anyway. Then, we will have to do something in Asia probably. It is going to be amazing. We will have so many things to visit and so many stories to tell when we get back. My husband and I have always talked about traveling, so this is wonderful to actually see our dreams becoming reality. We can’t wait to get started.

Coach Hire a Brand New Experience

Monday, August 8th, 2011

My friends have been urging me to join them for a few days, planning to take a short trip out of the city and taking a break from work. I have had a lot of things on my mind lately and they said I needed to take the time off as well and simply forget about everything even for a few days. I dilly-dallied with my decision knowing that I still had a lot of work to do and deadlines to meet. I thought that this was not really the best time to leave but at the same time, I did wonder when this would happen again. The one thing that finally convinced me to join them was when one of them mentioned that they were going to check out coach hire and travel in style. When I heard about it, I immediately agreed to go along with them as I have never taken a coach trip before. This was one opportunity I wouldn’t miss for the world.

Cheapest Benidorm Accommodation Options

Wednesday, July 27th, 2011

There are various options when can take when one is booking accommodation in a tourist resort in Spain. Renting a villa makes sense when one can arrive in a car and the party size consists of more than four people or large families with a dog. Normally renting a villa the owner or the tour operator will charge by the week and then one can see from that what one is paying per head. Click here for Benidorm info.

Couples and friends who don’t intend to spend too much time in the accommodation they have rented will find a hotel room to be the best solution and can also work out far cheaper than renting an apartment or a villa in a resort such as Benidorm. Another advantage of course is that hotel rooms are serviced on a daily basis while renting a villa or an apartment, the daily cleaning up will have to be undertaken by the individuals themselves.

Have You Ever Wanted to Visit Britain?

Tuesday, July 26th, 2011

Have you ever wanted to visit Britain? Britain is a beautiful and diverse island made up of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland and is only a short trip from mainland Europe. When most people think of Britain they immediately think of London (perhaps more than ever at the moment with the 2012 Olympics just around the corner) and whilst there is a huge amount to do and see in London there is so much more to Britain than just the English capital.

Outside of London there is a wealth of places to explore. Britain has some stunning scenery from the rugged coastlines of Scotland and Northern Ireland to the beauty of the Lake District and the Cotswolds. It is also steeped in thousands of years of history with iconic landmarks such as Stonehenge, Stratford-on-Avon (the birthplace of William Shakespeare) and the magnificent Roman city of Bath. Britain also has a rich tradition of music and culture. It is the birthplace of the Beatles, William Shakespeare, Sean Connery and many more icons of both modern and ancient culture.

If you are intrigued and would like to visit Britain then why not check out our website visitbritainsite.com. We look forward to giving you a warm British welcome.
