DJ Akien: Making His Mark in the World
Written by Parvinder Gill

Increasingly over the past few years, NUS has had its fair share of aspiring musicians and household names in the music industry emerging from its student and alumni population.

It would clearly be presumptuous of me to hypothesize from this that NUS is a breeding ground for musical talent.

Tan Pin Pin tells how her latest film is more of a meditative one that would hopefully cause the audience to leave the screenings in deep thoughts about the fragility of memory, and the desire to leave traces of their lives behind.

Rock with Cherry Boom!
Written by Ng Kit Ying
Consisting of four pretty girls, it is easy to stereotype Cherry Boom as a typical female pop group. But looks can be deceiving, as Cherry Boom is not only Taiwan's first professional all-girl rock band, it is also one of the upcoming bands you should watch out for.

Hooked
speaks to them over the phone, to find that their latest album "乖乖" (Goodie Goodie), like their appearance, is more than meets the eye.
