        For the men, there is an absence of worry for trotter thighs or huge hips. Most males do not store their extra fats in those areas anyway!

        So any pair of jeans goes so long as it has a nice wash. Stay clear of overly baggy jeans which you can fit 2 chickens in, though. It really is an eye sore and boy does it remind us of those passé FUBU jeans days! Fashion cycles exist - but FUBU will not be making a comeback.

        Cut to sit above your knees, these berms are defintely a must-have. Whether it is to suit the climatic condition of Singapore or that some men want to bare some skin too, berms make a good staple wear for you!

        Topped off with Polos T-Shirts or Tees, and you're good to go! Or if you want to look a bit smarter, the right kind of collared shirt does the job too! Please leave those School T-shirts or your army tees in your deep storage. I know it is a staple but I also believe that there is a place and time for those - in your home, or exercising.

Men's Staple Wear 2101E - Tees

        Unlike the ladies, men generally take less time to dress up because there isn't that much a variety for them to choose from. Cotton tees are ideal because it is lightweight and comfortable. This is something to be thankful for while dining in the oven-baked canteens.

        Polo T-Shirt is of course a standard when it comes to men, and the good news is that it is cool all year round. Somehow, Polo T-Shirts exude the Macho aura. What better deal is there for a staple wear? Just make sure it fits your body shape - nothing two sizes too small or anything too large.

Men's Staple Wear 3101E- Footwear

        A pair of flip-flops sound really relaxed for school but in truth, it makes a good footwear for the busy young undergrads, who don't even have the time to bend down and do their laces, which scurrying about in school! The most fashionable flip-flops at this point in time is no other than the famous Havaianas (yes, even for men!).

        On days when you're going on a hot date after school, a pair of sneakers is defintely THE ONE. You do not really want to impress her with a pair of Havis, do you? We have a variety of local and regional brands that are very affordable, so check them out in town!

        With Singapore claiming herself to be a shopping paradise, hunting down chic and urban staple wear for school really is a piece of cake.

        Trust us, we've had days where we really felt like walking into lectures with our pyjamas. But think about it - when else can you play up and experiment with your clothes, hairdo and make-up?
