The Bourne Ultimatum is based on a novel written by Robert Ludlum,
where main protagonist Jason Bourne is a trained assassin suffering from
amnesia.
Directed by acclaimed British director Paul Greengrass and written by
Tony Gilroy, Golden Globe winner Matt Damon, Julia Stiles and Academy Award
nominee Joan Allen star in this action flick that is bound to leave you wanting
for more.
The movie offers answers to faithful followers of the Bourne trilogy. It
takes us to the beginning, and how it all started for Jason Bourne's true
identity. In order to seek the truth and vengeance for Marie, his dead lover,
Bourne travels to Moscow, Paris, Madrid, London, Tangier and New York on his quest.
For those
of you unfamiliar with the Bourne trilogy, have no fear, for the movie does a
pretty good job of making sure that the film makes sense to first time viewers.
Throughout the movie, you're guaranteed to be on the edge of your seat, cheering
Bourne on as he outsmarts and outlasts the police and Interpol.
Pamela Landy, played
by Joan Allen, has a major role in the film as we see her facing internal and
external conflicts, both with the team and herself regarding the "Bourne
situation". Similarly, Nicky Parson, played by Julia Stiles, takes the front
seat here, as she is also targeted by the CIA.
The Bourne Ultimatum is a spectacular end to the Bourne trilogy, and is definitely worth the
