A Party Planner's Favorite Party Spot
Kevin's favourite hangout is the Martini Firm at Mohammad Sultan. Even though he cannot smoke or drink due to health reasons (cruelly ironic isn't it?), he said that the martinis there are a must-try because they use freshly squeezed juice instead of juice concentrates or syrups. Rachele vouched for this, so Hooked recommends our readers to give them a try, in particular, the lychee martinis.
Rachele's favourite hangout is Velvet Underground because she likes the chilled-out atmosphere, but the Martini Firm comes in a close second.
The Drudgery of Parties
NBTD will have you believe that that is an unheard-of concept. To them, every party is different and new, which they never get bored with. They always look forward to the responses from their clients, even if it is their fifth party of the week.
NBTD's Future Plans
NBTD is looking towards representing more fashion labels that design street-wear. Casual apparel, shoes, accessories are the categories of fashion that NBTD has not explored yet and Rachele is working on finding fashion labels who can be exclusive clients at their upcoming events.
The Lver Fashion Runway - their recent event at The Living Room was especially well received and NBTD hopes to ride on that success with further forays into representing street-wear design chains.
Time Away From Parties
In their time-off, both Kevin and Rachele prefer to spend it away from the hustle and bustle of work. But they barely get a two-week break every year! Especially with the integrated resorts coming up soon, NBTD is positioning itself to exploit the expansion of the Singapore party scene.
Party planning is not quite the carefree job that has served as fodder for our imagination. Stressful and dynamic it is, but also a uniquely positioned one that allows you to party while you're at work.
A prospective career switch, anyone? HOOKED

Ex patron Written by Guest on 2008-04-10 21:20:14 Dude, are you hired by NBTD to write this article? I highly doubt the facts provided here, it'll be really damaging on your own credibility if you've wrote this based on just the interview done with the founder without any other reseach to substantiate your points. I've gone for some events; they were hugely disappointing. |
