3. Turn to those sundresses
Given Singapore's sunny weather, sundresses are such obvious choices for a great, all-in-one look. They're bright and cheery so you don't even need make-up or jewellery if you don't want to be bothered by them. They're breezy, so you're not likely to feel the heat. And they're playful, casual and unique all at once.
FOREVER 21
Nothing speaks about your personality more than the dress you've picked out. Wear a sundress with flip-flops for those slack days or match your dress with classy shoes and look chic immediately. A sundress is a complete look, so you need to just throw on your shoes and you're done!
Sorry boys, this tip only applies to the ladies. We can't guarantee the same positive response for you.
4. Accessorize
Accessories are the most underestimated fashion items. In reality, they can work miracles for dressing up a simple t-shirt and jeans combo, or even adding that dash of glamour that'll make your comfy look couture. So add these accessories to your out-of-bed-number and up the glam factor!
Dangling gold earrings, psychedelic chain or chunky bangles are commonplace and you probably already plan those carefully. But not enough people pay attention to their bags, or their slippers or their glasses even. A colourful tote bag decorates your arm as you walk around campus, or a silky scarf used as a hair tie or a belt adds glamour to an otherwise straightforward look.

The best way to accessorize is to pick a theme and coordinate everything based on that. You could pick a colour (say pink or black & white) as your theme or even a look based on someone from TV (a Seth Cohen look, or the Marissa look) or just anything random that comes together somehow. The way to make accessories work is by being deliberate about each item you pick out - don't just toss it on because you own it. Sometimes, less is more.
And boys too, need to accessorize! A sloppy sling bag and flip-flops just don't cut it! Invest in a tote (those are in fashion even for boys) and a good track jacket. Again, pick a theme (celebrity looks are great idea-generators). But avoid the bling, unless you really are a hip-hop star.
TED BAKER
Funky fashion can be tricky, especially when you want to stay comfortable, but the essence lies in being yourself.
Don't wear shirts of brands you don't know about just to look cool (sometimes, it just makes you look like a fool); and don't try to look like a punk if skipping lectures is the most rebellious thing you've ever done. Get comfortable in your own skin, then find your groove and personality.
Let your clothes speak about your individuality. Now, that's true couture. HOOKED
