Our favourite punk-pop princess, Avril Lavigne, is back and is set to bring her The Best Damn Tour show to our shores this coming September 7th.

"I can't wait to get back out on the road!" Avril said of the tour. "I have the most fun when I am performing for the fans. I think that energy comes through in my live show."

This Grammy nominated songstress would be performing songs from her latest platinum-selling album, The Best Damn Thing.

Described by herself as "fast, fun, young, bratty, aggressive, confident, cocky in a playful way...all the good stuff.", this album features a stellar troop of talented musicians from producers (Sum 41's Deryck Whibley and Butch Walker) to drummers (Travis Barker and Josh Freese), it is certainly no wonder it topped the US album chart when it surfaced in April.

With smash hits including Girlfriend, which shot to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and When You're Gone, this record and lead single also won Avril Lavigne two awards each at the World Music Awards and the MTV Europe Awards and sold beyond 4.5 million copies all over the world.

The Best Damn Thing follows 2004's triple-platinum-selling Under My Skin, which spawned the hits Don't Tell Me and My Happy Ending.

Avril Lavigne first burst onto the music scene five years ago, at a tender age of 17, with hit singles Sk8r Boi and Complicated. Her debut album, Let Go, snagged eight Grammy nominations and four Juno Awards (the Canadian equivalent of the Grammys). She has since sold close to 30 million albums worldwide.

This is one great performance you definitely do not want to miss!

Another world class event brought to you by Midas Promotions.
