As one of Singapore's most acclaimed directors, and the recipient of the 2000 SIFF Special Jury Prize award, one can expect no less from Boi Kwong's first feature film.

        Genre : Action/Drama

        Country of Origin: Singapore

Language : Mandarin (with English and Mandarin subtitles)

Starring : Justin Chan, Ivan Lim, Avery Ang, Kevin Tan, Derrick R. , Jason Ho, Anthony Levi Kho, Adele Wong, Adora Wong

        Director : Boi Kwong

Set in 1989, at the turn of the decade where the typical middle income family is becoming more affluent. It is here when Singapore has its own mini-revolution with young street gangs gaining grounds in various neighborhoods. Based on a true story, The Days tells the tale of two brothers, Long (Justin Chan) and Baby (Ivan Lim). Long, in a misguided attempt to teach Baby how to take care of himself and make him feel protected, throws him into his own gang of delinquents : "The Four Heavenly Kings". It's no surprise that Baby changes as he is put into this violent world of his brother's. How would this change affect the two brothers?

The movie undertakes the typical gang-land fights and infuses elements of romance, hard-boiled murders. Showcasing the darker side of the 1990s Singaporean youths, The Days allows us to take a look into the drug-filled, violent world that these teenagers lived in.

The development of each character is uniquely in depth; and  having the film shot in recognizable neighborhoods allows the audience to relate to the film in a more personal way. Boi Kwong's effort in ensuring the authenticity of the lifestyles and wardrobe of the time period is evident in the movie.
