The Banana Split may be one of the most common and seemingly ordinary desserts on the ice cream menu at restaurants, with its typical Neapolitan flavours, whipped cream and ground nuts. This ordinary sweet treat at Häagen-Dazs, however, never fails to attract.
Served in a boat-shaped dish with 3 scoops of different flavoured ice cream – strawberry, chocolate and macadamia nut – one can hardly resist its charms especially with the whipped cream, crushed walnuts, almond flakes, and the inviting fresh strawberry halves. As if that isn’t sinful enough, the dessert gets a generous drizzle of tangy-sweet strawberry sauce that delivers a tingly sensation on your taste buds, guaranteed to leave you wanting more. And of course, what’s a banana split without the banana halves on the flanks. Tropical fruit with decadent molten hot fudge, generous servings of Häagen-Dazs’ smooth and creamy ice cream – this dessert deserves a scarlet letter ‘G’ for you indulgence in gluttony. Who ever said fancy names were necessary for food to taste good? This plain Jane sure deserves your attention anytime.
Spoilt for choice and you can’t make up your mind? Stick to tradition and give the good ol’ Banana Split a go. *The Banana Split is our Friday Daily Creation (at Holland Village) for our Häagen-Dazs special. Click here to enjoy a discount of 35% off Häagen-Dazs Daily Creations.
