The Brewerkz Burger ($15.99) is actually steak between two enormous pieces of bread. It is served with lettuce, onions, pickles and fries. I added mushrooms to go with the burger and it tasted great! The steak was cooked to perfection – I ordered medium rare and it turned out just right.

The fries were sprinkled with a green herb that made the fries taste especially delectable. However, I did regret not adding cheese to the burger.

For dessert, we had blueberry ice cream and soft cookie dough ice cream. The blueberry ice cream, a personal favorite of the marketing executive, was sweet and had a pleasant after taste while the soft cookie dough ice cream was absolutely divine.

Whats Brewerkz without beer? In order to get a taste of all of the beers under its draft selections without getting dead drunk, we ordered a sample set ($12.50), which consists of 2 oz. glasses of the 8 beers. They are namely the Wheat Ale, Golden Ale, Mao Tai Lager, Pilsner Lager, Dark Side, India Pale Ale, Dunkel Weizen and Oatmeal Stout. Honourable mentions are the Golden Ale and India Pale Ale, the former being popular among the ladies and the latter the most popular beer which won Brewerkz a gold medal in the World Beer Cup 2004. (And you thought beers did not have World Cups.)

Indeed, we personally preferred the Golden Ale over the others as it is not as bitter and made drinking easier. Aside from these, you can choose from the wide variety of Belgian beers or its brewmaster's reserve, beers made with unique ingredients or interesting production methods, like the Brewberriez which is the Golden Ale with added fruity flavour. Take-away services for bottled beers are also available, great for parties of any size!

Try to drop by Brewerkz during Christmas as well as it will be having a special Christmas menu, only available on the 24th and 25th December after 6pm. Have a unique Christmas experience dining on turkey and ham along the riverside with your loved ones, cheering with fellow soccer fans or having a good time with friends around the pool table. hooked
